A well recognized company in Chandigarh, they started their career with the trading industry, and trade in pharmaceuticals. Being an absolutely new entrant to the Printing & Packaging industry, this is a challenging evolution for Mr. Vivek Rao to change his portfolio and start this company.
LEO Design & Packaging have a client base dealing in Liquor/Beer Industry, Pharmacy and Food & Beverages, and now they manufacture labels and mono cartons for them. Mr. Rao believes that all premium packaging companies are their competitors.
LEO Design believes that Mark Andy is most appropriate label press for all label requirements press in India. The requirements of LEO Design, fit encouragingly well with Mark Andy and Flexo Image Graphics. Their qualitative need for label manufacture is best served by Mark Andy 2200.
Mr. Vivek Rao “Although there are more Flexo Printing machines from Gallus, Nilpeter and Omet which also provide good quality labels, but they don’t have a strong presence in India.” For the flexo printing industry, backup and constant support of engineers and management is required persistently and the same is contributed by Flexo Image Graphics to LEO’s.
As such flexo is a newer technology in the Indian market it is a few years away from comprehensive market coverage. Mr. Rao believes that in near future their will be a boom in in-line converting industry. Right now most companies are using their old patterns and machinery for manufacturing labels but a definite shift from offset to flexo industry is happening gradually. The popularity of producing self adhesive labels is also changing, even though a big industry such as Liquor/Beer Industry is also not using self adhesive on all their labels, they are still manufactured on flexo. Just like prominent Pharma Industry, 80% of job is done on offset only. They are ready to shift, and in near future, this shift will be more pronounced as flexo, despite being young will gain popularity and be the ubiquitous name in printing.
