Kluge, an industry leader in print finishing and digital print package converting solutions, will demonstrate advancements in die-cutting, laser cutting and scoring, UV coating, foil stamping, and folding and gluing at Graph Expo 2015. At the September 13 – 16 printing exhibition in Chicago, Kluge will be demonstrating production of a presentation folder with multiple decorative effects and converting a digitally printed folding carton with products and systems in the following areas:

Folding and Gluing: Kluge will be showcasing the NEW OmniFold 3000 Automatic Folding and Gluing System. This fully modular, automatic folding and gluing system begins with a control console and docking station that allows you to easily interchange friction feeder and vacuum feeder modules. Interchangeable inline converting lengths of 3 feet (IL3), 6 feet (IL6) and 9 feet (IL9) and a modular dual angle buckle fold unit can be added in any combination with delivery options of a standard stacker or a compression stacker. Combining the best features of Kluge’s popular OmniFold and ComFold converting systems, the next generation OmniFold 3000 is a completely modular system and the only folder gluer in its class with these unique features: modular alignment system, modular pre-break device, interchangeable bearing bed transports, automatic belt tensioning, modular auto-lock bottom device and interchangeable vacuum transports. The OmniFold 3000 is also an integral component of the CartonsInMinutes™ On Demand Laser Cutting and Converting Solution for digital workflow of folding cartons. The OmniFold 3000 will be demonstrated in two configurations with one converting a digitally printed, laser cut and laser scored tuck bottom box and the other converting a foil stamped two pocket presentation folder.

UV Roller Coating: Kluge will be introducing the NEW Kluge UV Roller Coater product line, the newest addition to the Kluge family of products. The Kluge OmniCoat 2000 will be demonstrated applying a protective and image enhancing UV coating to various products including digitally printed cartons, embossed paperback book covers and foil stamped posters.

Foil Stamping: Kluge, the recognized leader in small format foil stamping presses, will exhibit the Kluge 14×22 EHD Series Foil Stamping, Embossing and Die-cutting press. The EHD Series press will be used to decorate a two pocket presentation folder. Two new features specifically designed to reduce make-ready and set-up times will be highlighted. The first is Kluge’s Adjustable Impression feature and the second is the patented SpeedChase® system that uses dies mounted in register to a UniLock-Up® die plate both from UEI® Group. The combination of these two features result in make-ready times under five minutes.

Kluge CEO, Michael Aumann commented on the excitement and positive momentum that is apparent heading into Graph Expo 2015. “As the industry continues to adapt to the integration of digital print to traditional offset printing workflows, Kluge strives to bring new products and features that can solve production challenges regardless of how the media is printed.
